Blog Traffic Increase

To find clients, increase sales and improve brand recognition, companies need help with blog traffic increase and not just a street in a quiet neighborhood kind of traffic, they need afternoon drive kind of freeway traffic.

The goal is to get your content to as many places on the Internet as possible so you can ‘own’ your target niche. Videos stand a far better chance of getting a website, sales page or  blog traffic increase  than text pages or a website alone, so that is one way to increase traffic – add a video to your content.

Owning your target niche means ranking at the top of the search engine front page. Plunk in any string of words into Google and you’ll see who owns that target niche.  I did this while writing this post and entered this phrase  and now the title of this blog – blog traffic increase. There were several sites that showed on the first page. The funny thing is that none of them had titles that said exactly – blog traffic increase – nor were there any videos on the front page for this category. Better get my video camera warmed up. So is there room for me to own that category? I betting yeah – well,  that is until you all read this and are smart enough to follow suit and makes videos and blogs etc with this phrase in the content and title. We’ll see you on the front page of search engines.

I thought I could figure this blog traffic increase thing out in a  day. How hard could it be? A few clicks and voila we’d be at the top of search engine pages around the world, and people would be falling over themselves to click through to our site and we’d be famous. Huh!…It was like trying to pry open a metal can with a post-it note. Remember like many people out there, I’m learning and there’s no unlimited supply of cash to pay someone else to do it and really how can you know they are doing everything they can to create a website or blog traffic increase for you? I’m of the mind that it’s best to understand this process yourself so you have some level of control.

There is one key thing that can help with blog traffic increase. The process of getting traffic to a blog aka blog traffic increase (you’ll see where I’m going with this) turned out to be fairly simple to do but the really crucial part was what keywords and keyword phrases you used. They mattered in how high you ranked on the search engines.

To get that right and not waste time with blog traffic increase head bashing and trying a myriad of words, it does takes some research. Enter my partner. He has patience for this kind of thing – not me. So while I was busy prepping for the radio show, posting fun as well as important things on line for the club he went to work to figure out how to choose good keywords. In fact he was doing it for his company as well.

Here’s what he found out about how to make blog traffic increase a reality:

1. You want to find what keywords and keyword phrases have the least competition so you’re not lost in the pack and have no hope in ever reaching the front page let alone ‘owning the niche’.

To help find keywords,  you use a tool like Google Keyword tool. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal. You type in a descriptive phrase or keyword and up pops a possible keyword or keyword phrase you could use and the number of competitors for those words and how many people a month search those exact words or phrases.

Each word or phrase has a box that is either all green, partly green and partly white or all white. All green means high competition for advertisers, all white – no competition and anywhere on the green/white scale will give you an indication of the amount of competition. You want to find boxes that don’t have much green but high traffic each month. Beside those boxes you’ll find the number of hits these words or phrases get every month.

For blog traffic increase I found that it was searched 8100 times a month but had very little competition. So I may be closer to ‘owning ‘ that category than ever just by using the Google keyword tool. What I entered to find this combination of words was something like how to increase blog traffic. That’s how I found blog traffic increase was a strong phrase to use.

2. Be smart about what keywords and phrases you choose. There’s a fine line between less competition and who in their right mind would ever enter ‘that’ combination of words, to find what you’re promoting. Let’s say you’ve got a business that makes dog collars,  that you want to promote – would you choose a phrase like, blog traffic increase? Likely not. But you would use a phrase like ‘nice dog collars‘.

It’s a process and I can see why people hire the pros to handle this. However try it on your own and see how it goes. Here’s exactly what I did.

1. Find a phrase that has little competition. Blog traffic increase.

2. Add the keyword or keyword phrase, (blog traffic increase),  creatively throughout your page copy. A good number times. Frequency matters to search engines. How many times have I used the key phrase and title of this post, ‘blog traffic increase’ in this entry?

3. Use your keyword phrase, i.e. blog traffic increase,  as a heading for the page which is going to be very helpful in getting traffic to the blog.

This simple process alone, can  bring you a ton of new interest and website, sales page or blog traffic increase.  Give it a try and let me know what category you ‘own’. When I get to the front page for blog traffic increase you’ll be sure to hear about it on my Facebook page that I encourage you to join, where I share with you all that I am uncovering about social media and improving your chances to be heard, seen and followed.
